Avgi -Path of Love

What attracted me there was the Path of Love which aims at explaining the various steps of love with the help of poems and imagery. Couple poseballs propel you along, though I would have liked it if pose balls allowed a single person to walk the path in a reflexion as well...
Avgi

I also enjoyed the writer's room which aims to break writer's block, a desk in a black room with words floating around...
Avgi

The rest of the sim is more unified in design, strong vibrant colours.
Avgi

The sim offers many different activities, from games to concert to discussions, a bit for everyone.

Suilven -Lair of The Winter Wyrm

This sim is the home of a huge grey dragon sleeping in the green valley,
Suilven

while the mountains are ice covered but with rare growing trees
Suilven

The most intriguing part of the sim though are the sky platforms which are definitely from the space age...
Suilven

and using great textures...
Suilven

One of the platforms is connected to several others in adjacent sims. I barely visited them, but they looked well done and worth further exploring.

Whatever happened to Naoshima?

Another sim bites the dust... A good part of it was a private adult club which I visited before it went private, with walls of mosaics that attracted my attention. It seems a recurring pattern that not long after becoming private, the sims or builds disappear... Perhaps a miscalculation of how much traffic they were going to get?

The Companion

Cosmo -The Untroubled Sound

This sim, according to the description, has been themed on the Marlborough Sounds of the South Island of New Zealand...
Cosmo

I have found this a very relaxing place to wander about, low-lying marshes where sheep are grazing...
Cosmo

...especially if fantails, friendly and engaging birds are around, as illustrated in this painting...
Cosmo

... shacks are welcoming those who want to rest...
Cosmo

and for the adventurous ones, sailing or sea fishing are also possible activities from the quiet port.

Innsmouth -a dark New England Coastal Town

This dark sim is based on a novel of HP Lovecraft...
Innsmouth

and is an ideal place for making up your own role-playing stories.
Innsmouth

The sim is really well-done (I like it in a sunset environment)...
Innsmouth

...and is full of surprises, behind closed doors, rising from the sea...
Innsmouth

or in the street...
Innsmouth

Go explore at your own risk!

IDIA Laboratories -The Quiet... The Ferry and others

I heard news recently that the wonderful builds by AM Radio will be taken down about six months from now, so I decided I wanted to take pictures of them before it is too late. On February 3rd of this year, I pictured "Far Away" also known as Wheat Fields. Now I went to Idia Laboratories, and checked the four builds he has there...

The one at ground level is my favourite... the atmosphere, the quality of the light...
Idia Laboratories

the scenery...
Idia Laboratories

and if you look at the small surreal details...
Idia Laboratories

The other builds are worth a visit, but if you short on time, check "The Ferry"...

Pillars of Hercules

This romantic sim is build according to neo-classical and roman architectural style by Scottie Menges.
Pillars of Hercules

The buildings are majestic from the outside...
Pillars of Hercules

...as well as from the inside...
Pillars of Hercules

creating beautiful views.
Pillars of Hercules

The various statues add to the atmosphere.

An Easter Egg hunt is happening there at the moment.

Whatever happened to Bentham South Isles and Bentham Isles?

Of the three Bentham sims, Bentham South Isles and Bentham Isles are both gone, all that is left is Bentham Hollow. I know they were put up for sale a while back, I am guessing only Bentham Hollow got a taker... What a shame... I never got the chance to take pictures of Bentham Isles. This picture below is from the South one, to give an idea of the atmosphere...

The first thing that struck me when I landed here was the graph paper that is the texture of the land. The land looks bare... but explore it, fly in the heights, and you will discover gems worth looking at,
xyz

xyz

including this wondrous house... Find its tp point on one of the giant swings in the sky and observe what happens when you explore the house...

this is one of the rooms.
